Don't know, Black Tie White Christmas anyone? yeah i'd forgotten that too. You know the spirit of BTWN is alive and well in you guys, I mean that honestly. BTC isn't that much different. Consider that a bucket of cold water.

A lot of it has to do with time, it took up an awful lot it and we don't have it, most of the old crew have jobs and families to worry about. Also it was right for its time, now i'm not sure. BTC presents is more suited to now i feel anyway and is possibly a more well rounded event possibly. I reckon let the past be the past and now be now, no need to dig up old graves! Unless you're a body snatcher in which case its your job so go for it just don't get caught! And stay out of mine when i'm gone ya bandit!

Sorry folks.......BTWN 10 year anniversary ain't going to happen. :'(It was awesome but it's water under the bridge now. It got a bit too big for its boots and i take the blame for that. It was ambitious but some from other churches felt that the whole event became a tad 'unChristian' for want of a better word. But lets not forget that almost every night we did have 60 second sermons, drama on stage, interviews on stage about serving God, the 'big interview' on video, Christian music videos, readings from 'What's so Amazing About Grace?' and Bible text on the screens. We also had a bible study in the afternoons. Our detractors very conveniently forgot these things. Whilst an event is a non-runner, a DVD box set of bands and Tie TV is a distinct possibility. Let me know how much you would pay for a box set!! BTC Presents now lives in it's own right and is class. You guys are really priveleged to be able to organise and run such a cool event. End of. Roll on 2006!

wud it b separate from btc presents or an amalgamation of the two? i dont know why, but btwn seems to have been far more successful than btc presents - youse had 300+ people through the doors and we've struggled to get even half that. how come?

timing I reckon. BTWN was the only thing like that in Bangor at the time. Wasn't such a massive movement going on in other churches, it was deemed cool to go to, that had to do with some shred booking of bands from Mr kelly and most importantly we worked really really hard at it. It was all incompassing. Took up all our free time and most of our time that wasn't free also.
The teams over the last few years of BTC have been really good. But not to blow the trumpet too much of BTWN but that team was amazing. Still though the majority of the real grafting was done by a few. We also didn't have most of the team made up of guys still at school and things. We had unemployeds like me and skels doing loads of stuff.
But listen and I mean this seriously, BTC Presents is a different beast to BTWN. I'm not saying it's better but it's certainly not worse. We do things and unite the whole church during that week. Theres not a lot of things do that in First. We also have had the knock on effect of young people coming to the youth group from it. Sure it's maybe only two or three but thats really important.
Word of advice for you, don't get hung up on numbers. It doesn't measure success.

What about doing something along the lines of what Hamilton House does and have 2 or 3 bands into the hall from 8.00-10.30pm on a saturday nite every once in a while
