Your thoughts are welcome on this subject.
With the advent of the new evening services starting in church and the huge investment the church has just made in the audio visual department the church has begun to address the needs of a changing culture and congregation. What changes do you wanna see in First Bangor. What would like to see stay the same, why do you come to church, what are the good parts, bad parts, do you learn in church?
Ask yourself this question as well. Does change in the church mean that you have to do something or is it someting to be left for Willis, Graeme, me to a lesser extent ( my responability is you guys) and the session or can you be a big part in reshaping this church.
I know there is quite a lot to consider there but it's not something that you can't deal with.

i think that sometimes the sermons aren't that exciting but i also think that although they're not always going to affect something in my life at that time, they might be good for someone else listening so we couldn't really have all the sermons youth orientated or whatever! (if anyone knows what i mean!?) however, i really like the idea of the new evening services and i think that a few 60second sermons would be good! ;D

i find it really helpful when people get up and speak about how god and christianity has helped them in their lives or a tough moment that they've come through with god. not the 60 second bit but the content of what many people talked about in their sermons

Hello there to ya all!! I'm kind of new at this so sorry if it's considered garbage or spam etc... Really think that the evening services are going well! Like the knew format of it all. Would be really nice if there was a lot more praise at the start of the evening. What do you all think? Maybe the sermons could be split up into smaller bite size sections so that you have time to really consider what the speaker is saying. What about if we all sat closer to the front? Maybe that's just silly. What if we were able to publicise the web pages like these ones in the church section of the newspapers like the specy? would that encourage more people or inform more people of the services.
Have to say that i loved the morning service this week! So many good ideas on show and really felt that God was present. Loved the childrens address with them at the front! The Birthday bucket thing was great! Seems that we are starting to really get away from the 'time watching' in the services and taking some time to get more people involved feeling more like a personal family in the church. Praying for children at the front for instance!! Wow! Anyway have to go!
All the best SPEEDO TEXT
